Outlook Express AutoConfig

To use the Outlook Express AutoConfig option in cpanel, perform the following steps.

  1. Log into cpanel.
  2. Select the Mail icon.
  3. Select Add/Remove Accounts.
  4. Click the link that says (Outlook Express AutoConfig) next to the email address you are wanting to set up.
  5. Follow the prompts.
  6. Once complete, the email account you want to be placed in outlook express will be added to your registry.
  7. Open Outlook Express.
  8. Select File < Identities < Add New Identity
  9. Enter the name of the account that you want to show in your identity list of email accounts.
  10. When prompted, select 'Yes' to switch to that account.
  11. Select the radio button next to 'Select an existing Internet Mail Account' and click Next.
  12. Select the account you just added to the registry with the AutoConfig and click Next.
  13. Accept Settings and click Next.
  14. Click Finish.


    And you're done!

Note: You may wish to save your password so you don't have to enter it every time you send and receive mail. In order to do this, follow these steps.

  1. Make sure you are in the correct email account you want to save your password for.
  2. Select Tools < Accounts.
  3. Select the Mail tab at the top and then click on Properties.
  4. Select the Servers Tab.
  5. Enter your password for this account in the password field then click OK
