Outlook
Express AutoConfig
To
use the Outlook Express AutoConfig option in cpanel, perform the following
steps.
- Log into
cpanel.
- Select the Mail icon.
- Select
Add/Remove Accounts.
- Click the link that says (Outlook Express AutoConfig) next to the
email address you are wanting to set up.
- Follow the prompts.
- Once complete, the email account you want to be placed in outlook
express will be added to your registry.
- Open Outlook Express.
- Select
File < Identities
< Add New Identity
- Enter the name of the account that you want to show in your identity
list of email accounts.
- When prompted, select 'Yes' to switch
to that account.
- Select the radio button next to 'Select
an existing Internet Mail Account' and click
Next.
- Select
the account you just added to the registry with the AutoConfig and
click Next.
- Accept
Settings and click Next.
- Click
Finish.
And you're done!
Note: You may wish to save your password so you don't have to enter
it every time you send and receive mail. In order to do this, follow
these steps.
- Make sure you are in the correct email account you want to save
your password for.
- Select Tools < Accounts.
- Select the Mail tab at the top and
then click on Properties.
- Select the Servers Tab.
- Enter your password for this account in the password field then
click OK
